Shelton CT ~ 26th Annual Shelton Day Festival ~ Sunday, October 3, 2010
The tradition goes on! Howe Avenue in downtown Shelton, CT will once again be the venue for the 26th annual Shelton Day Festival on Sunday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Downtown vendors, craft vendors, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, the Boys and Girls club carnival and local bands highlight the activities for the day.
Sponsored by the Derby/Shelton Rotary Club, the Shelton Day tradition has grown from year to year. Typically, the event draws well over 10,000 people.
The main stage on Bridge Street will feature local bands throughout the day playing music that ranges from swing to classic rock to pop. The Shelton High School Band will play at noon when the mayor, Mark Lauretti, will read his proclamation.
Funds that are raised for Shelton Day go back to the community to the Valley Boys and Girls club and to community scholarships.
