Soupstock is an annual fundraiser for the Mary A. Schmecker Turtle Shell Fund which exists to further art, craft, and music education for children and young adults in the Lower Naugatuck Valley.

The festival will include perfomances by local and national bands featuring:

Kung Fu
Turbine

Corkscrew
Shawn Taylor
Housatonic River Band

Other events will include an artisan expo, a classic car show, and a kids activity tent.

TSoupstockhe tastiest part of the festival will feature a pro/amateur soup cook-off-competition.  So which soup will be the winner at SOUPSTOCK?  Come to the soup tent with your donation to the Turtle Shell Fund and vote on your favorites.

Last year there were over a dozen entries and this year there will be many more.  Last year's winner was Ansonia's CRAVE restaurant in Ansonia with their spicy Black Bean Chorizo soup. Runner-up was Lydia Segui's Mediterranean Lentil soup.

If you want to participate in the Soupstock cookoff, fill out a soup competition entry form.

Soupstock is free - no admission charge - and open to the public.  Bring your appetite.... come and taste the soup, enjoy the music and local artisans , and show your support for our local budding artists!
