The Valley Goes Pink, a grassroots effort throughout the greater Shelton CT area designed to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, KICKS OFF its September-October 2017 events on Wednesday, September 13, with a concert on the Huntington Green, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Featuring the Highland Rovers the free concert will also have various food trucks on hand along with several vendors and fun activities for all ages.
The following is a list of scheduled "pink" program fundraising events. For more information about “going pink” and to verify the events listed below, please visit griffinhealth.org/pink where you can also learn how to create your own event.
September 25: Waiters Go Pink – Volunteers will wait on you and all their tips go to the cause. Begins at 5:30pm. Reservations essential. Please call 203-929-0336 Wellingtons Restaurant, 51 Huntington Street, Shelton
September 28: Dig for a Diamond Event – A $50 donation will give an individual a bucket and a chance to win a .90 karat diamond as well as precious and semiprecious faceted stones. October 1: Pink Namaste Yoga – Join Kimmarie for a yoga session to support the cause, which will be held at Griffin Hospital. Minimum donation of $20 per attendee. Visit www.kimmarieyoga.net to register.
October 2: Hit the Greens for Pink Golf Tournament – The first annual golf event will be held at Brownson Country Club a private club in Shelton. Cost is $180 per golfer includes golf, prizes, lunch, dinner with a 2-hour open bar and a swag bag. Sponsorship levels are available. October 5: Paint for Pink – Tickets are $50 and include all art supplies to create a beautiful painting as well as an appetizer buffet. Drinks will be available to purchase. October 10: Bingo for Boobies at The Hops Company – A fun filled night of bingo and great prizes, including a flatscreen TV. A $25 donation includes 10 bingo sheets and pizza. October 16: Pinktoberfest by Yuengling – Join us for the 3rd annual event featuring Yuengling beer specials, a special Germanfest tasting menu and great giveaways Wellingtons Restaurant, 51 Huntington St, Shelton.

October 19: Bras for the Valley – This event will feature ART BRAS designed by you, your co-workers or your neighbors and then showcased in this 2nd Annual Valley Goes Pink “Bras in the Valley” fashion show and live auction.
